Shreekant Gupta is a Visiting Senior Fellow at CSEP. He has over 30 years of policy and academic experience in environmental and urban issues. He currently focuses on carbon trading, climate finance, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. He is the Adjunct Faculty at IIIT Delhi, Executive Education Senior Fellow, LKY School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore and former Professor, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. 

Dr Gupta has served on the Economic Options Committee of the Montreal Protocol and was Lead Author, Sixth Assessment Report and Coordinating Lead Author, Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
